    That coaches note on the "Quality sessions" is super important. You're not gonna do 4 intense interval sessions a week, but "speed sprinkles" can happen in a lot of runs with 1-2 hard quality focused workouts.

    I’m sorry but I wanted to ask a question, I’m currently interested in becoming a DPT and specializing in sports but the only problem I have are the cadaver labs. How did you handle it ? Also did you even have to do cadaver labs for any of your degrees and if so at what stage and how you got past it ?

    • @DrJacobGoodin
      @DrJacobGoodin 14 дней назад

      No worries! I feel you on that one. As amazing as cadaver labs are, I'm grateful that I no longer have to spend time in them. Honestly, they are an AMAZING teaching tool and I think all PTs should experience it, but I prefer working with folks whose hearts are still pumping. Soldier through it. At some point you have to steel yourself against thinking of the donor as a person, and realize that the person has passed on and gifted their body to science, which is actually a beautiful thing if you think about it.

I sometimes struggle with thinking that've I already hit my peak in running but listening to Lisa talk I realize that I still have a long way to go as far as gaining experience in this sport. Tables 17.1 says an advanced well resistance trained athlete can work out 3 to 4 days per week. However, in the same chapter on a different table, you’ll have less than two months for beginner one to two days per week and then I believe intermediate was still 2 to 6 months 2 to 3 days per week And then advanced was more than a year 4 to 7 days per week
